Modeling how genetic information translates into biological function

We study how the information encoded in DNA is translated into phenotypes, including disease. Our focus is the post-transcriptional regulation of gene expression, especially the processes that govern protein synthesis and folding. We use computational models and deep learning built on high-throughput data to interpret their predictions and understand the underlying gene regulation.
